At Eligo we are of the firm believe that the promotion
of a nation’s art and cultural heritage is an
important element in the wider profiling of a country’s
image. Such assignments often compliment existing economic,
political and tourism promotion which we may be undertaking
for our clients, and is generally seen to be more appealing
to a wider section of society as a whole.
Eligo offers a full range of cost effective strategic
services in both Great Britain as well as across the
world. Projects have ranged from exhibitions of international
significance to smaller and more targeted efforts. These
have included art exhibitions, concerts, speaker platforms,
special events, educational and charitable link-ups
and media relations and promotion. Other Eligo services
include catalogue production, text preparation, curatorial
direction, design, media materials, billboards and advertising,
audiovisual requirements, guest list preparation and
catering needs.
Often our events include the high patronage and participation
of Heads of State and Government, as well as members
of Royal and Imperial Families. No matter what the event
Eligo and its strategic partners will ensure maximum
visibility and impact to key decision-makers, opinion
formers, critics, the media and the general public.
We can also often source additional funds for such activities
thereby ensuring that they become a reality.
In recent years Eligo has created and organised many
such events and exhibitions. In 1999 we developed a
media campaign around an exhibition by a leading Arab
artist in Rabat, Morocco.
In 2000 we were selected to organise the first Painting
& Patronage in London, which brought together the
public and artistic capabilities of HRH The Prince of
Wales and HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz
Al-Saud. This exhibition, which was chaired by Eligo’s
chairman Anthony Bailey, was visited by HM Queen Elizabeth
II, other leading national and international statesmen
together with large numbers of the general public and
art critics.
As a result of the success of Eligo and its business
partners, Painting & Patronage was heralded both
officially and publicly in the media as the largest
and most successful cultural exchange programme ever
between Great Britain and Saudi Arabia and its dynasties.

So as
to continue the good efforts of the exhibition,
a free entry summer school for students was established
through Eligo with The Prince’s Foundation
and the King Faisal Foundation. Eligo ensured
through its sponsorship capabilities the sponsorship
of both BAE SYSTEMS and Shell.
In the same year Eligo was selected to coordinate
the public promotion and international endorsement
of an exhibition entitled “Pakistan and
the Islamic World” which was held at the
Brunei Galley at the University of London. Eligo’s
efforts resulted in considerable and positive
national and international media coverage as well
as the attendance of leading international statesmen
and public figures.

Drawing Together, launched by HRH Prince Khalid
Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and HRH
The Prince of Wales, was a key element to
the Painting & Patronage exhibition
held in London in 2000. Eligo played a key
role establishing and funding this important
cultural initiative between The King Faisal
Foundation and The Prince's Foundation.

| In 2001 Eligo was again
selected to organise the second Painting & Patronage
exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This major European-Arab
event was opened by HRH Crown Prince Abdullah bin
Abdul Aziz Al-Saud in the presence of HRH The Prince
of Wales, HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdul
Aziz Al-Saud and many other leading Arab and European
cultural figures. |
Eligo once again ensured massive international media
coverage as well as secured the participation of leading
European statesmen, cultural foundation chiefs and other
public figures.
Continuing
our work in 2002, Eligo was hired to co-ordinate the
international activities and promotion surrounding the
first Prince
of Venice Foundation Award
Ceremony held in the Swiss capital, Berne. Eligo’s
efforts ensured that the new Swiss-Italian Foundation,
which encourages international cultural understanding
and dialogue through culture, was launched in the most
high profile manner. We have since been hired to develop
key strategic alliances for the Prince of Venice Foundation
with likeminded organisations across the world.
On a much smaller scale, Eligo assisted the Embassy
of the Kingdom of Morocco in London with logistical
assistance for an exhibition of Moroccan paintings.
Our valued assistance included the preparation of catalogue
materials and securing press and VIP attendance at the
event.
